Congratulations to the newly
married Jon and Sarah Pfeil!!
I am so excited to share with you the wonderful news that in
God's perfect timing, I have met, courted, and have just married
Sarah Harrington - an amazing gift from God! Sarah has been
a nurse at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. We met last fall
when she joined my church in Cincinnati and we started serving
together in ministries at the church. This spring, through God's
leading and the counsel of our parents and many people close
to us, I asked her to be my wife!
Our wedding marked the beginning of our life-long commitment
before God to love and serve each other as we love and serve
Him together. My personal call to missions in Japan started
over 4 years ago and I have spent 2+ years serving in Japan.
In 2001, I was assessed and fully approved by MTW as a Long-Term
Missionary to Japan. Sarah's own call to missions came through
several mission trips to Mexico and her interest in medical
missions. As God has brought us together, we are now excited
to pursue His will for us together in world missions. This next
year will be a time for us to confirm God's call to Japan through
MTW evaluation, training, and then ultimately through seeing
God's blessing in the complete raising of our new support budget.
Our vision is to continue serving the MTW Church-planting movement
in Japan through the critical work of College Ministry. We will
be part of this ministry which meets, evangelizes, disciples,
and trains young Japanese toward becoming the future pastors,
church-planters, and leaders that the Japanese Church desperately
needs.
